Meet Gideon Smoke.

Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Gideon Smoke is the family’s unofficial peacekeeper, professional joke teller, and enthusiastic singer, always ready with a laugh, a song, or a cooking experiment that may or may not go according to plan.

Devoted Brother but not in a "Shadow"

Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Gideon Smoke is one half of the Smoke Brothers, a devoted family man known for keeping spirits high, traditions alive, and recipes guessing. Armed with humor, loyalty, and a love of singing, he’s never far from a laugh or a good family gathering.
Every family has that one person who can turn a tense situation into laughter before anyone remembers what they were arguing about. In the Smoke family, that job has long belonged to Gideon Smoke. Born into a slightly different generation than some of his older siblings but raised with the same family values, Gideon became both the family’s peacekeeper and its chief supplier of laughter. Whether through a well-timed joke, a funny observation, or one of his legendary cooking experiments, he has spent a lifetime reminding people not to take life quite so seriously. Friends know him as a loyal brother, a natural peacemaker, and the kind of person who can find humor in almost any situation.

As one half of the Smoke Brothers alongside his brother Wayman, Gideon has shared a musical bond that stretches back to their childhood days in church. Long before stages and performances, there were Sunday mornings, hymn books, and two brothers learning the power of music together.

Their voices grew, their faith remained strong, and their brotherhood became one of the defining relationships of Gideon’s life. Through music, family traditions, and a deep appreciation for his roots, Gideon continues to carry forward many of the values that shaped the Smoke family.

While Gideon’s singing has earned genuine admiration, his adventures in the kitchen have earned something closer to family folklore. Nevertheless, he continues to march bravely into culinary battle, convinced that the next recipe will finally be the one.

On any given week, Gideon can likely be found singing, making somebody laugh, reflecting on faith and family traditions, helping keep peace among relatives, or spending time with the people he loves most. His legacy is not measured only by the songs he sings, but by the joy, loyalty, and harmony he brings to those around him.
