Meet Asianantra Smoke.
If you’ve ever wandered through Greenville, South Carolina and heard gospel harmonies colliding with smooth jazz riffs somewhere in the distance, chances are you were picking up the soundtrack of Asianantra Smoke.
Keeping Life Moving
Despite persistent internet rumors suggesting she might be 26, eyewitness accounts, common sense, and basic mathematics strongly indicate she has successfully celebrated more birthdays than that. Attempts to verify her exact age have resulted in jazz solos, choir rehearsals, and strategic topic changes.
Born and raised in Greenville SC and apparently determined never to leave a city that already has everything she needs, Asianantra developed a musical palate that blends Sunday morning gospel energy with the sophisticated soul of jazz. While most people listen to music, Asianantra seems to have made it her full-time side quest.

Waymon’s family connections extend far beyond Hill Creek. Among the relatives closest to him is his cousin, Asianantra Smoke of Greenville, South Carolina, whose knowledge of the family and dedication to preserving its history have made her an important part of the Smoke Family Legacy.
Asianantra has long maintained strong relationships across the family and is especially close to her cousins, Waymon Smoke and Gideon Smoke of Hill Creek. Through shared memories, family traditions, and a deep appreciation for their heritage, they have helped keep family connections alive across generations.
Her family ties also extend westward to Texas, where she enjoys a close relationship with cousins Elijah Smoke and Otis Smoke. Though separated by distance, these relationships reflect the enduring bonds that continue to unite members of the Smoke family throughout the country.
Waymon’s closest family circle today includes his brother Gideon Smoke, who resides on the historic Smoke Ranch in Hill Creek. In addition to their family bond, the two have shared a lifelong love of music and have often enjoyed performing and making music together through the years.
Another cherished family connection is Uncle Willie “Blind” Smoke, Waymon’s father’s surviving brother. At 93 years young, Uncle Willie chose a path outside the family business, preferring a quieter life while always taking pride in the accomplishments and continued success of the Smoke family.
As with any large and growing family, the story does not end here. The Smoke Family Legacy continues to unfold through new discoveries, shared memories, treasured photographs, and the stories passed from one generation to the next. Additional relatives and family connections will be added over time, helping future generations better understand how each branch contributes to the rich and continuing story of the Smoke family.
After all, every branch has a story, every story has a connection, and the journey of preserving the Smoke Family Legacy has only just begun.
